The Way In
It is one thing to see the Kingdom and say you are a Kingdom citizen; however, it is another thing to enter into the Kingdom and actually behave like a Kingdom citizen. When the Kingdom of God is in us, it is a spiritual reality that shows our reconciliation back to God. When the Kingdom is in your heart, you are reconciled back to God and are connected to Him. Jesus clearly stated that flesh cannot enter the Kingdom, which is also an expanded theme throughout the Newer Testament. Hence, YOU (your fleshly essence) cannot enter the Kingdom of God.
Therefore, as Luke 9:23 states, YOU must die daily to yourself, or your flesh. It is the spirit of a man that desires to do the will of God. Only the spirit-man can enter in the Kingdom. Sincere worshipers worship in spirit and in truth – they listen to the Holy Spirit for instructions and abide in the Word of Christ as their standard for living (John 4:23-24). Do you really want to enter into the Kingdom? Has anyone explained to you the cost of becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ? In a nutshell, the key to entering the Kingdom of God is to LEAVE YOU BEHIND!!!
Entering the Kingdom requires that you function from the DNA of God (2 Peter 1:4). Peter writes that we have been begotten again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus from the dead (1 Peter 1:3). Entrance into the Kingdom was not made possible until the death and resurrection of Christ; thus, Jesus proclaimed the Kingdom in His message and made the Kingdom accessible through His crucifixion and resurrection. Jesus further stated in Matthew 18:3, that unless one is converted and became as a little child, you would by no means enter the Kingdom. This means that entrance into the Kingdom is not the perpetuation of one’s natural genetics, which are referred to in the scriptures as the flesh. Kingdom citizens cannot define themselves by their temperament and personality type; these two are based upon nature and nurture not the fruit of the Spirit, which is the by-product of the DNA of the King (Galatians 5:22-23). I refer to temperaments as Pioneering Paul, People’s Peter, Loving Leah, and Exacting Ezra. Hippocrates, the father of medicine, respectively referred to them as the Choleric, Sanguine, Phlegmatic, and Melancholy temperaments. These temperaments are based upon blood flow; they are who you are in blood type, your Adamic nature, but in order to enter the Kingdom, you must have a DNA transfer. Thank God for a Kingdom blood transfusion! You must not allow your temperament to rule you if you are going to walk as a Kingdom citizen. Kingdom citizens are called to be spiritual and operate out of the fruit of the Spirit not out of the nastiness of the flesh. The fruit of the Spirit cannot manifest until you die to your flesh, which includes all of the temperaments that we rest in, excuse, and expect others to excuse. It is amazing how many people worship out of their temperaments, rather than constantly dying to reveal the fruit of the Spirit. Many Christians will claim salvation through water baptism, but yet they have never been reborn in their spirit. Repenting of your sins only to gain intellectual biblical knowledge and not manifest the fruit of a truly reborn nature means you simply brought “yourself” to the water…and dried “yourself” off when you were done!
Christ is looking for sincere worshippers who will worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Only your spirit man can see, hear and then enter in the Kingdom!
